Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports, and the Mecklenburg County YMCA is proud to offer a variety of Pickleball programs for all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, our courts and programs are designed to help you enjoy this exciting sport.

For the pickleball player looking to up their game, we offer various skills training classes and courses. In these sessions lead by seasoned Pickleball trainers, you’ll learn how to hone your pickleball prowess and take your game to the next level. All classes are held at our Clarksville Branch on the Joe Davidson Multi Use Court unless otherwise communicated.

Monday, March 23rd at 10am – Backhand Roll Skills with Andy Gardner
Monday, April 6th at 10am – Return of Service with Gus Gillespie
Monday, April 20th at 10am – Blocking & Laddering with Andy Gardner

Spring Fling Tournament

Celebrate spring with some friendly competition at the YMCA’s Spring Fling Pickleball Tournament in memory of Mike Kimmel! Mike Kimmel was a longtime friend of the Mecklenburg County YMCA and the pickleball program. He was a staple volunteer at our tournaments – keeping score, organizing teams, and keeping the competition on track. We honor his dedication and memory in the way we play today, tomorrow, and forevermore.

Whether you’re a seasoned player or just love the excitement of the game, this tournament is a great way to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy the fast-growing sport of pickleball.
We will have the Men’s Doubles competition at 9am and the Women’s Double’s competition at 1pm. Double Elimination format so each team is guaranteed 2 games.
Each team member must register and fill in their teammate’s name on the registration form. Don’t have teammate? Register and we’ll pair you up!
