LakeFest 5K & Kids Fun Run
YMCA LakeFest 5K and Kids Fun Run is an annual event held the weekend of Lake Festival in beautiful Downtown Clarksville, VA – Virginia’s only lake side town!
Frank Csorba was a Boydton native and running phenom. He held the record for fastest LakeFest 5K for several years and was known to run the course to “warm up” before the race. The race is now held in his honor and memory for the outstanding young man he was and the example he set through his athletic determination.
This year’s race will take place on the morning of Saturday, July 18th, 2026. The 5K will start at 7:30am and the Kids Fun Run around 8:15am.

This is an 8-week beginner friendly program designed to get you up and running. Led by Certified Personal Trainer and experienced runner, Hope Bain, who will help to design a training program to get you ready for our LakeFest 5K on July 18th! You’ll meet once a week with Hope and complete 3 workouts per week on your own, according to your custom training program.
Registration in this program automatically enrolls you in the LakeFest 5K on Saturday, July 18th.

This 1-Mile Fun Run goes up the bridge and back again with awesome views of the Buggs Island/Kerr Lake!
All participants will receive a medal at the finish line. No event shirts are given for this run.
